Plain-language summary: ApkShare processes your installed-app information and APK files on your device to provide backup, sharing, search, and installation. It does not upload your app inventory, package names, APK files, filenames, paths, signatures, or search text to us. The app uses limited analytics, advertising, and Google Play purchase services as described below.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the ApkShare Android application provided by NewPower Studios (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). The App is supported by advertising and offers an optional one-time purchase to remove ads.
2. Information processed on your device
To provide its core features, the App reads installed-application metadata and accesses APK files that you select or ask it to create. This enables app listing, search, backup, sharing, installation, and Split APK compatibility handling.
This operational content stays on your device unless you deliberately choose an Android sharing destination or another application to receive a file. We do not send the following content to analytics, advertising, or remote logging services:
- your installed-app list, package names, or application names;
- APK contents, filenames, file paths, or application signatures;
- search terms or other text you enter; or
- Google Play account details, order identifiers, or purchase tokens.
3. Limited analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate reliability and whether the advertising and remove-ads experience affects core tasks. The App sends a small, fixed set of custom events covering:
- the start and aggregate result of backup, share, and install tasks;
- views and eligible clicks of the remove-ads entry;
- aggregate purchase outcomes such as success, pending, cancellation, failure, or restoration; and
- a view of the Ad tab.
These custom events use fixed category values. They do not include application identities, item counts, filenames, paths, search text, purchase identifiers, or a user ID set by ApkShare. Firebase may automatically process app-instance, session, device, operating-system, and approximate-region information needed to produce aggregate analytics. ApkShare disables Advertising ID collection and ad-personalization signals for Firebase Analytics.
4. Advertising and mediation
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertising. AdMob may use configured mediation partners, including Pangle, to fill an ad request. These providers may automatically process device identifiers, IP address, device and operating-system information, ad interaction, network information, and consent or advertising signals in accordance with their own policies and applicable law. ApkShare does not add your app inventory, APK content, file information, or search text to an ad request.
5. Purchases
Google Play processes the optional remove-ads purchase and its payment information. The App receives only the product and purchase state needed to present the offer, complete the transaction, acknowledge it, and restore the entitlement. We do not receive or store your full payment-card details or Google account password.
6. Permissions and device access
Depending on your Android version and the feature you choose, the App may request or use:
- installed-app visibility required to show and operate on eligible applications;
- file or folder access required for backup, sharing, and installation;
- package installation access when you explicitly start an installation;
- notification access to show a notification you explicitly request; and
- internet access for ads, analytics, purchases, and this online policy.
You can deny or revoke optional permissions in Android settings. The related feature may then be unavailable, but unrelated local features will continue where the operating system allows.
7. Sharing and disclosure
When you choose Share, Android lets you select the recipient. The destination you choose is independently responsible for its handling of the shared file. We may also disclose limited information when required by law, to protect users or our legal rights, to investigate fraud or security incidents, or to service providers acting for us under appropriate restrictions.
8. Retention and your choices
ApkShare does not operate a server that stores your app inventory or APK backups. Backups remain in the folder you select until you delete them. You can delete those files, clear the App's data, reset your advertising identifier or privacy choices through Android where available, or uninstall the App.
Third-party providers retain information under their own policies. If you contact us by email, we retain the correspondence only as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. You may ask us to delete support correspondence, subject to legal retention requirements.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
10. Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we process. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Third-party providers may process data in countries other than yours, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the revised policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated in the App or through the store listing when appropriate.
